I have finally launched my online portfolio website: hazelryalls.co.uk
It is only a draft version at this stage, with lots more to come but worth a look in my opinion!

Whilst not posting on my blog for ages I have been very busy doing this…
I have followed my rules that I used for my flat patterns and applied the same technique to the environment.
After a long 2 days, the first pattern is finished!
This project has gone on for such a long time now and through so many phases! I have finally settled on generative graphics in the form of pattern making. I have placed a grid over a photograph and established a set of rules that essentially determine what goes where. (I will explain this in more detail at a later stage).
The rules are based on ‘the gender of materiality’ and these are a few of the patterns that they have generated.
Here are the results from my second pinhole film. Having got more used to using the camera I have had some better results second time round. I am impressed with the colour quality of the photographs and I really like the rawness of the images.
The results of my first pinhole film and I’m pretty pleased!
I took a trip up to London on Friday to visit a few exhibitions and generally have a look around… managed to pack in A LOT in just one day, more posts to come with the things I saw.
The project has progressed to a point where I am currently studying the gender of spaces. I took these photos at the park by way of trying to determine the gender of individual objects in order to build up an overall gender for the space.
